Warm weather….for a couple days at least

Until the polar vortex returns next week, we've been enjoying the warm weather, mud and all:

Master Bathroom…Finally finished!

It's official…a year and a  half later the master bathroom is finally finished! It has been mostly done since early fall but now the shower doors are on and everything works!

A close up of Nate's meticulous tile job…we thought it would never end. We did marble hexagonal tile on the shower floor and subway tile throughout the rest of the shower.

I've been dreaming of a (real) bathtub for 10 years…and finally we have one!
Nate did an amazing job on everything and has told  me several times he will never be tiling a bathroom like this again...

Cold days!

I took this picture the other night at dinner…both kids wanted to sit on Nate's lap while he ate:)
It was warm enough (35 degrees!) to go for a hike at Blackacre Nature Preserve last weekend.
There are farm animals (baby goats, horses, etc.) that Drew and Harper loved petting!

And an old barn to explore...

While she will be the first one to play with Andrew's trucks and to kick the soccer ball, every once and awhile I turn around and find a scene like this in our house and I'm reminded of what a girl she is too:)

She loves to read her books on the vent to keep warm on these cold days.
We've read a lot of books this winter too…Andrew loves books and going to the library to get more…especially any book about dinosaurs, animals, and alligators.
Another Saturday with perfect powder snow!

 Sledding at the neighbors' house.

Walking with Granna in the snow…my parents came over to see the kids while Nate and I escaped to the park for a hike in the snow.
Tom came over for dinner and as usual both Drew and Harper loved every moment he was there.
He provided lots of entertainment in the form of flips and wrestling with them both.
As you can see…he can multitask with both of them:)
