A month of festivals

October means just about every festival imaginable around here...Fall festivals, pumpkin ones, Halloween trick-or-treat festivals--we've been to them all these past few weeks. It's been such a beautiful October we've been outside one way or another!
At the zoo of course...we probably go once a week at least!
St. Matthews Farmer's market one Saturday
NuLu Festival on East Market in downtown Louisville. These two were dancing to the music of course!
Nate and I realized we could just watch for his orange balloon and not force him to hold our hand in the crowd...it worked pretty well!
He sets up his own drum set and plays a set or two every afternoon. Harper is a captive audience except when she dares to offer her "hands-on"opinion. Then it's all over.
Poor Nate...trying to read a book to 2 squirmy kids is nearly impossible.
 Picking marigolds in Granna's garden
I owe a big thank you to the person who invented these Home Depot shopping carts...
Just talking about their day over some pizza at Impellizeri's
Outside in the afternoon...working with his tools of course!
The one and only picture we got from the hay ride at Foxhollow Farm Fall Festival
Checking out the tractor at Fox Hollow Farm.
At the Farmington Historic Home Fall festival (did I mention we've been to a couple festivals?)...this one had Civil War Re-enactmentts and some good bluegrass music,
Learning about something related to the Civil War...Harper was intrigued
With the bluegrass band behind us...these 2 loved to dance!
And we finally did the Halloween "Boo at the Zoo" this year...our little construction worker and cow had a blast trick or treating their way through the zoo.

The train is always a hit!
Peeking through the pirate face!
