Just a few photos...

...of these 2 who are growing up way too fast! They are the best of friends so far (except when Harper dares to touch a lego tower or one of Andrew's many excavators or bulldozers). Sometimes Andrew is overzealous in his hugging but Harper doesn't seem to mind too much.

A pretty spring evening and a dad willing to play with chalk!
 First ponytail...sniff sniff...
And she's standing up and cruising everywhere! She keeps me on my toes...come to think of it, I can't remember a time when I wasn't being kept on my toes by a small human!

He loves to scatter the dandelion seeds. Nate thinks we are probably the seed-bed for the entire neighborhood's weed problem:)
He always has a hug for Grandpop!
Laughing as usual while he spins her on the swing.
 Sitting in the grass playing!
His usual spot...the edge of the garden, digging up mulch and rocks. He tries to imitate everything Nate does--it's hilarious! This morning he was carrying around a bucket of "mortar" for the tiles (the legos) as Nate has been working on tiling the bathroom this weekend. Also, when he was watching a music video with Nate (part of their nightly bedtime routine is to watch some music before reading books), he declared that we should "start a jam band." Apparently, Nate will be playing the guitar, Andrew will sing,  Mom can play the keyboard, and Harper can play the drums when she's older.

April days

A cold spring night...last fire of the year!
Harper all bundled up for the neighborhood Easter egg hunt
He found 3 eggs and was pretty  happy about it!
But was not so happy about the Easter Bunny:)
Harper sitting like a big girl in her high chair at Panera Bread

Our porch finally is nearing completion...Nate and my dad still need to do rails (the ones on there are just temporary) and the ceiling needs to be finished too but we can at least sit outside which is wonderful!
Andrew enjoyed sitting in his chair too!
Drew and  his friend Nolan checking out the gorilla at the zoo.
Saturday afternoon walking on the new pedestrian bridge over the river with Tom, Steven and Lindsey
And warm weather finally arrived...I feel like we've spent every waking moment outside which is just fine with me!
Watching the UofL game with everyone at our house...thank goodness our friends didn't mind a few "interruptions" from certain little people:)
Omi came to visit too! We were so lucky to have her come and help us out last weekend so we could get some work done on the house and so she could spoil these two!

Easter Sunday

The Easter Bunny came and left a jelly bean trail to Drew and Harper's baskets:)

 Someone was thrilled:)
And a big thank you to both grandparents who helped to "fill" their baskets with more goodies than you can imagine:)

Shortly after opening our baskets, we dressed up and headed to church.
And tried to take a family picture...
Eating Easter brunch at my parents house...this is the best picture I could get with my grandpa:)
And this boy loves his Grandpop:)

Easter egg hunt in the backyard at Granna's and Granspop's house

Thanks, Omi, for the kids' cute Easter attire! (Nate's mom got both their outfits for them!)
Grandpop and his little Easter flower:)

Warm weather!

We finally had some warmer days this month (since it is the latest spring I can remember having!) Last weekend we headed to Bernheim Forest to hike with our neighbors Marigny and John. They have a little boy Andrew's age so the two of them had a ball playing in the creek of course.
And riding on their dads' shoulders too!

Harper soaking up the sun the day before Easter (not such pretty weather on Easter Day itself though:(
As usual, he could be found with his construction equipment, moving rocks and looking for bugs.
 She loves her swing!
